Is there a common aspect ratio for children’s book illustrations?

I’m new here so I’m sorry if this has been answered before. I’m just not certain if there is a standard ratio that would help strengthen my portfolio. I’m trying to avoid square format for now.
If there is no standard then which ratios do you like best?

I've only had books published in Sweden, so I can only speak for that market. But we ran into a small problem because of different aspect ratios with one book.
We first submitted it to a contest that a book publisher had. You had to submit the illustrations in a specific size to match their standard aspect ratio. We didn't win that contest but another book publisher wanted to publish the book. Turned out that their standard book size was just slightly different, which meant that all the illustrations had to be cropped. It turned out well in the end, but I was really worried for a time there when I had to check every single illustration to make sure nothing important got cropped out.
Otherwise, I often use aspect ratios similar to A4 papers (210 mm × 297 mm), since I do my initial sketches on that kind of paper before going digital.

yes, 8x10 and 10x8 with 32 pages is the most standard size. Of course there are books of all sizes, but that is a good one if you don't have specs from a publisher or are making a book dummy.
