@kaitlinmakes
Horrible example... but this ones done in artrage...more opaque. still lacking detail though. bright as hell... which was more a side effect to the laptop i was using... non ips screen. Or perhaps you were meaning more light overall... Ive found that starting black is very bennefitial. True empty canvas. Sadly if i were to do a scene lighted by letssay fluorecent bulbs lighting up everything... it would take away from the mood the contrast creates -
Some zoom abuse
Done a few months back... should redo it -
Tried to mix line and shape... basicly scribble way of coloring. Hope it suggests some more detail...

@JacksaurusRex
You style is awesome, looks very inspired by... gosh what's it called again, impressionism? I'd love to see what it looks like if you filled the whole image with the rough style, like this one:But then instead of leaving the black, well, black, to add a light source and shading in that similar manner.
Love the energy in your sketchwork!
@JacksaurusRex @Sas
Wat gezellig dat hier ook nederlanders zijn! -
Tried to do what you mentioned, have to say that the blue guy hipstah is made on pc, this ones on android.
-
Reread it... so theres no black, like a full background?

Environment and landscape practice...

Still proud of this one... -

Swapped brushes in mypaint... this ones a bit less transparant. Standard wet brush. Works a bit slower... but theres more control. Also allow myself to sketch in white before painting... makes for more predictable outcome then just blasting color hoping itll work. -
Last one today... been learning celticknots. Training in patience... and precalculating drawings. -
