JANUARY PROMPT "BIG"
-
Leafy seadragons meeting...a sea dragon! I was watching Composition 2.0 while doing this, which definitely made a big difference from start to finish.

@eli They are! :smiling_face_with_open_mouth:
I browsed through so many (too many?) tardigrade pictures and articles before sketching this. Amazing creatures, and so silly looking... -
I had a handful of ideas I was sketching out and then my youngest son comes in and says how about a bird about to eat a worm? The bird would be big to the worm. It clicked and that is what I went with. Working on getting the time-lapse of my process up on my youtube. I will share that when its ready.

Here is my entry. This one was a lot of fun!

My entry: "Big" as an idea. I enjoyed this one.
-
@aleksey I like this a lot. I love all the detail and the gnomes quaffing that big DRINK are adorable.
-
A monster truck at a night rally.
-
@maureen thank you! I had fun making this.
-
@ElizabethEmrys Beautiful! Reminds me of the style and palette of Song of the Sea
-
So here is my entry. I thought it would be fun to illustrate “Big” without actually illustrating anything that was big, just the suggestion is there.
-
@Adrian-K Wow, I love everything about this composition! The use of white space is sooo effective in this, I can’t stop looking at it.
-
“Big” in so many ways: Big problems, but bigger protection! This piece is a mixture of colored pencil & digital.

Hey friends. Trying my hand at something new this month, I'm working on new portfolio pieces and wanted to do a book cover and concepts for a book dummy. Here is a the latest from T-Rex & Big Tex!

Hi guys. Thanks again for those who gave me some great suggestions to help me out. Here's my final!
-
@Adrian-K this is so darling! That little mouse holding the stick reminds me of despereaux from The Tale of Despereaux. Great job!
-
big universe thanks to everyone who helped with this.

Finally got my iPadPro and Procreate (thanks so much for the helpful suggestions from the group before my purchase). In thinking about a recent addition to the extended family, I started wondering what a baby might think and came up with this.
