Hi. My name is Rowan! I have only recently discovered SVS, the podcast and this community. I’ve been learning a lot from the podcast so when I discovered that you didn’t have to be subscribed to use the forums, I got really excited!
I’m hoping to be able to subscribe someday, though.Anyways, here is an image I’ve been working on. My goal for the future is to be more comfortable working on bigger illustrations and finishing them as well. What do you all think? This piece goes along with another one where the girl was riding a broom with her cats, but they fell from the sky.

Greetings! Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you will be able to subscribe one day, they have some brilliant stuff and are constantly working on more.
As for the piece, I think it's working very well. It tells a story by itself but leaves you wanting to know more. The little fairies are a nice touch, but what if you changed their color, so they matched the environment even more? It would add a nice surprise when you did finally see the fairies.

@Justin-Moss thanks for the advice. I couldn’t decide what color they should be! They looked weird whenever I tried to make them pop, but I didn’t know if them being a similar color to the background would be boring.
