Collective art project to send Will some love and support.

@juliepeelart Hi Julie! Great to have you Yes, you post your finished peace on this thread and I'll gather them all together on the 15th of May. Make sure to include your name and whatever message you want to include.
-
I'm in:) Thanks for organizing this.
-
@Johanna-Kim Awesome!! Thank you for helping to make it happen
-
@ShannonBiondi You might want to create a public dropbox or somewhere for people to send their finished pieces rather than posting them in the thread. Because high resolution posts can't be uploaded to the forum, the resulting uploads might not be good enough what would be required by book making software especially if they are not all the same dimensions and you have to resize them on the book pages. I ran into this issue when we put together cards to send to the family of Richard Cartwright, a forum member who died, and was able to figure out work arounds but it would have been much easier if I had had higher resolution files to work with.
-
@demotlj That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the tip!! I'll drop a link to a shared folder over the next few days for people to drop their art into.
-
I am going to try!
-
@Coley Brilliant! Please do!
-
Getting started on my this evening. Planning on using Will's own penguin character in the piece.
-
@Chip-Valecek Thatβs funny. I had that idea too. Itβs OBVIOUSLY a good one.
I am going to make something for Will (possibly penguin related). Just chiming in so you can know to expect one from me.
-
@Chip-Valecek That's a brilliant idea!
-
@JennyJones And snap! Haha! Great idea and super glad you're creating something

Totally in! I have been following wills work for a while now, and was heartbroken for him when I heard...I would love to have a way to send his family love and prayers, and what better way than through art thank you @ShannonBiondi for making this happen
-
@ShannonBiondi This is great. I'd love to contribute!
-
@ewatkins09 Yay! I'm so glad that you're taking part. I'll be uploading a link to a shared folder soon so we can upload higher resolution artwork there.
-
@Tamisha Fantastic I'll upload a link to a shared folder soon and you can add your piece there sometime before 15th May.
-
Hi everyone.
So here is a link to a shared folder that you can all add your high resolution images to.

Let me know if there are any issues with it!

@ShannonBiondi Hi Shannon, I uploaded a file because this poem reminded me of how Will has talked about his wife over the years. It doesn't fit the theme of a guardian angel, so if this is not appropriate, I will try to come up with something that does.
Thank you for organizing this -
@BichonBistro I think that's lovely and really moving Did you paint the background? It's gorgeous. Thanks for sending it!
-
@ShannonBiondi Thank you Shannon, yes it's a painting of the shoreline in Ocracoke, North Carolina, cropped to fit the square motif. Somewhere I saw a photo of Lori at a beach and Margaret Mead's poem just reminded me of Will, especially the line "to the faithful, I have never left". I think we are all heartbroken for Will and feel helpless to console, so the gofundme and this book provide a means for us to let Will know how very much he is in our hearts. Thanks so much.

@BichonBistro It's a really beautiful painting and I'm sure he'll find a lot of comfort in the poem. Yes, I was so happy his friend set up a GoFundMe. As you say, even though I've never met Will, I still really wanted to help in any way I could as he is such a kind and generous person. I'm so happy this got traction - hopefully we will be able to comfort him a bit through the art he helps us create.
