rainbow making fairy. Day 18/100 Love this one! -
Day 19/100. Since I found my love for drawing for children I realised how much I actually have to draw everyday. It can be a page of pencil sketch characters in a sketchbook or working digitally on a picture book illustration for a story I wrote or lately editing a picture book text. I have to work on something of my own or I just feel not like my myself. So I do something almost everyday then I feel like I am on the right path and continuing to have a positive focus I think as an artist and also in everyday life. Art is a good friend for life. -
Day 20/100 A blue grasshopper and his magical friend saying hi and checking everything is going well. -

Wakey wakey. Someone sprinkled too much
star dust on your pillow last night. Day 28/100.
Back in the studio after a brilliant holiday. I rested my right hand which was starting to have some pain from always doing something, either typing or drawing and also walked a lot which was good as I had been sitting at my desk and not doing much exercise.
Does anyone have any tips about the pain in the hand? What do you do to keep healthy at your desk? -
Day 29/100. I left some of the original pencil line that I scanned and blew up in photoshop to see how it would look. I like the pencil especially on the flowers. -
Day 30 and 31/100. Twins! Just with different colour hair of course. This is a breakthrough illustration for me with this series of fairies and especially love the foliage vignette so this is my favourite share so far.

Fairy 39/100. My agent mentioned they like the stronger colour palette I have been experimenting with in another project so the fairies are going to have stronger colours and we will see how they turn out.

It's all about bright colours for the next fairies. My niece Georgia has a cochlear implant and glasses, she loves rainbows and purple. This is practise for a special birthday illustration for Georgia which will feature her black cat. It's a surprise. Fairies 40,41 and 42. -
