@SFischer I'm really laughing at those bananas! But also overall, a very nice piece with a great gorilla silhouette. And the red is a nice touch, too.

Decided to go with the 2nd piece. Even though it wasn't the first one that I had spent the most time actually doing, I think this one definitely took the most thought and planning and effort into getting what I wanted out of it.

@SFischer Love this SO MUCH! The concept is hilarious, the texture is awesome, the colors go so nicely together, and the composition rocks! I think you totally nailed it with this one. Great work!

I wonder what criteria Leeโ€™s going to use to judge this one, it must be tricky as thereโ€™s no single prompt. Does he take into account the whole process and journey of the artist too?

Yay, I finished it!! I've really enjoyed this challenge and I never usually spend so long on any one piece but I learnt so much from this process. The preparation seemed very long (I often don't prepare at all) but then the actual painting part seemed to go so much quicker than usual, probably because I'd spend so much time planning. The painting was done with gouache and collage. ๐Ÿ™‚

                            Love all the entries!

I had decided to make a series of seasonal greeting cards. This one is for the Fall/ Autumn season. Found inspiration in the picture story books of Beatrix Potter (The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin was one of the first books gifted to me as a kid, I still have it), and Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows. The colour palette and styles helped me to figure out how to go about laying out the scene. The forest animals included in this card are a red squirrel, a grey cat, a hedgehog, a red fox and a red baby deer.

@Rachel-Horne I love this illustration. The style you use looks like itโ€™s such a fun way to put a piece together. I feel the atmosphere of Christmas when I look at it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is my entry for this month. So glad I made it.
For the first time, I did my svs monthly challenge with traditional medium. I did not have access to a big enough scanner for today. So the image is taken by iPhone and I did a slight re-touch on photoshop.

Hello everyone! First time joining the forum and contest here. So here's my entry. I had this idea of a tree creature (we call him a kapre locally) who got curious about reading books. The little girl is oblivious to his presence but her dog is a bit wary. I hope this comes across. :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
