@seanwelty Really? I've never thought about that. I'll have to look back at my sketching and compare it to the finished piece. Thanks for pointing it out!

@bharris Thanks so much! I was really trying to step out of my front-view comfort zone. Having the same pov every time gets repetitive.

@shinjifujioka Yes, I love adding detail in interiors it tells more about the character without having to say much. Haha, yes they are eyeballs. She's a witch so she has witchy things?! lol

@Marsha-Kay-Ottum-Owen Yeah, I wanted it to be more of a poof. I guess if I wanted to do the explosion then she would have to be shielding her eyes or something.

@Leontine I didn't want to make it too scary, so I tried to add a little comedy with the explosion. I'm also thinking of making the explosion a vibrant color like a pink or green.

@Sharon-Sordo I think it isn't scary as in in scary, but more like nicely spooky, the way that children like. They love eyeballs and stuff like that!

Working on the lighting and values. I want it to be night outside. I was also thinking of having some moon rays coming in through the ceiling just so the bg wouldn't be so dark.

really like the busy but yet not busy image because there is a good focus point there! Love their expressions as well.

Finally adding color...err roughly, haha. I see the plants on the bottom are still a little dark.

@Sharon-Sordo this is a great start. I like how the background is coming together. I look forward to seeing this piece progress. I assume as you progress that you will be knocking down most of the fully saturated colors and finding areas of emphasis to have pops of color.

@seanwelty For sure! I want the majority of the saturated color to be on her, the cat, and the table. I can tone down the orange plant pots in the background and on the shelves, because now that I look at it, they are a little too saturated.
