So next week im definitely down to do a procreate tutorial. If people have questions I’ll try to answer them. Im going to try and paint one of the starships I drew.

I tried zoom on my ipad, i cant really screen share on it but ill try to rig up my phone camera to it.

@NessIllustration There still might be a way to listen- I don't have a mic, but was able to hear the sound. I was on a PC .desktop. Have you looked in the audio settings on the app? There's an option to test your speakers. See if the test works for you.

@TessaW I was clickign everywhere for like 15 minutes, and did find the test for the speakers eventually. But no dice: my speakers were working fine so it wasn't that
You might have a mic that you don't even know you have. Sometimes they are integrated in a webcam or even a monitor.

@NessIllustration That sucks! I guess I could have a mic somewhere, but I have no idea where that could be. I don't have webcam, nothing on my monitor, none on my headphones. No mic detected on any applications that use a mic on my computer.

Do you have the app downloaded or were you using a browser? If you were using a browser, which one? Looking at the zoom site, if you are using zoom in Safari or Firefox, you can only join audio if you are an attendee. Did Braden add us as panelists or as attendees? If he added us as panelists and if you were using zoom on Safari or Firefox, could this be the problem?

@TessaW I'm not... sure? I went to the link and a download started. It opened up this window with Braden's presentation. I don't think it was the whole app though, probably just the meeting itself.
LOL this discussion is highlighting my tech limitations haha

Youtube is taking forever to process the video, so I'll post that later.

I'll start a facebook group for scheduling the next few showcases and post that later as well.

I've gone back to the original thread to see who was initially interested in showcasing. I'll send a PM a day until someone gets back to me on whether they can or can't.

I'm gonna say 1 PM PST on Saturday's will generally be the meeting time, but the person showcasing may change that to another time (since, you know, they're the one that kinda should have an easier time to accommodate )

@NessIllustration Ok, from the clues provided, my best guess is that since we were all participants in a meeting as opposed to attendees in a webinar, audio didn't work for you because you were using Firefox or Safari. On the zoom help center it says:

@TessaW Oh! I hadn't thought of my browser, but I'm actually using Opera and I know sometimes that causes issues because it's a less commonly used browser.

Thank you @Braden-Hallett - I’m really looking forward to watching your recording. I feel similarly “clueless about digital art” @Coley so it’ll be great to get some pointers. However, your digital art looks amazing to me!

Hey @Braden-Hallett , not that you haven't done enough already (I'm guessing you don't sleep), but would you be able to give us some pointers on how to actually run the Zoom and set it all up to show screen etc. for when it's our turn to share? Thank you in advance!
