middle grade graphic novel suggestions

Fun! You have a great style for graphic novels! I loved the Bone series by Jeff Smith. Theres something about the juxtaposition of the bone characters to the rest of the world that always felt perfectly funny to me.
-
@Braden-Hallett I would suggest CatStronauts it is a fun series that I think is in the vein of what you are looking for.
Maybe a little young. Not sure.

I just finished reading “Chef Brianna”
Theres also “The Oven” by Sofie GoldsteinBut im not sure if the oven is in the age group you’re looking for

My daughter is way into Phoebe and Her Unicorn comics that I think is close to what you're looking for.

I used to read a bit more comics. There are some of my favorites graphic novels for young adult (some of them I read 10 years ago though, I have not re-read it in recent years).
- The prince and the dressmaker by Jen Wang (The laterest comic I read. I do not know which ago group the book is targeting).
- Castle waiting by Linda Medley (this one is from the late 90s. I love the story, the characters, the unique take on fairy tales).
- Anya's Ghost by Vera Brosgol
- American born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang
And my 3 years old toddler has an obsession with Raina Telgemeier's graphic novels. We had read "Smile" many times. Now I bought her the book "Sisters". I enjoyed Raina's graphic novels myself as well, I think I would have enjoyed them even more if I had read them when I was 10 years old.

Thanks everyone
Now I've gotta find a way to access this reading list without a library without breaking the bank

@Braden-Hallett sometimes for picture books I watch them being read on YouTube, tho probably no one is silly enough to read graphic novels on youtube lol. Ya never know tho

These may not be simple enough style wise, but we've been enjoying The Creepy Case Files of Margo Maloo (I think it started as a webcomic, so it's probably online for free on the artist's site) and Gravity Falls: Lost Legends.
-
@jdubz My daughter really likes this series too. Nice and simple, art wise. I think it also started as a webcomic, so some of the content maybe online as well.

I've wanted to scope out the genre too but haven't yet had a chance. So I'm taking notes on these suggestions, likewise. One that I did check out recently was Bolivar by Sean Rubin and I enjoyed going through it. I was more interested in the art, which isn't exactly simple as the whole thing is cross hatched ink with color added digitally, but their was a good mix simple and complex composition if I remember right.
