@aprilshin Thank you

Hello Everyone! I missed a few months, but I'm back!
-
@Matt-Haggard Hi Matt - I think you captured a good moment in the story and illustrated it well. At this point some one reading the story would be wondering how the monkey was going to try to get that orange - That great big, juicy orange, with the alligator looking up at him.
-
@franksandovalart Beautiful rendering- that water is amazing!
-
Something might be wrong with me, because I laughed out loud when I read the last line. I imagined all the animals of the jungle waiting to play "Bongo's game" on his return journey. It didn't hurt that there's already some awesome versions on the other key points, so I'm just gonna slide over here at the end :D.
Going for a retro newsprint style testing out different textures. -
Oh my gosh, I am seriously loving all these submissions! They literally make me smile when I see them.
-
@Ryan-Ehr Very nice, both the style and the point in the story you chose to illustrate!
-
@Ryan-Ehr

@Ryan-Ehr
So cool!
I like the characters and their expressions.Makes me want to read the second book
-
@franksandovalart It's a cliffhanger!
-
@chloekrog Omg I love Bongo's fruit shirt and glasses!! Really loving the texture of his hair as well!
-
My first digital piece using a drawing tablet and Photoshop. How did I fare?
I wanted to highlight both the start and end of the story. The corners of the page are dedicated to each type of fruit that Bongo comes across. He finally gets his beloved, juicy orange and outwitted Clyde as well. This scene is just before Bongo realises he has to find a way to get back across the river!
Drew inspiration from the yin and yang symbol, to depict the dualism between the two characters in the story.

@Ryan-Ehr I love this! Great take on the prompt and love the style!
