@Nyrryl-Cadiz This was an attack on the company I work for and it ran through the network. I work pretty much day and night so I usually do not disconnect from work network. I also left my SD card which has all of my PSD art files on it in that computer and my external hard drive I use to store all my photo/movies and website stuff. When it hit my computer through the network, it hit all of those as well. But it also went through my google drive, one drive, dropbox, and creative cloud. It has been a mess and I am still waiting to find out if they guys at work will be able to recover and decrypt all the files. I think my new years resolution will be to do more traditional art.

@Chip-Valecek does your team have any clue who it might be? Anybody holding a grudge against your company maybe?

@Chip-Valecek I'm not sure about Google Drive and One Drive, but Dropbox specifically has version control - you should be able to revert the entire library to anything uploaded or synced within the last 30 days. Did you check the file histories?

@Nyrryl-Cadiz I don't think they have an idea and it is more of a high scale attack (ransomware). At this point I am out of the loop while they restore all the important work stuff. My stuff is not important to the company which makes sense right now. Hopefully was they restore everything at work they can save my files.

@jdubz I was able to restore my one drive, google drive, and creative cloud files. As of right now I have lost all of the PSD files, local website files from contract work, and photos/videos of my kids from the past two years. Everything else was backed up on a different hard drive. I am slowly getting everything installed again and back up and running.
