Yeti Abode
-
Alright. Here are the first sketches of my yetis home. Being that Everest is littered with climbing expedition garbage, I think my yetis home should be made out of their trash.
I really like the ice one, but I think I want the house itself to be more "trashy"
-
Whoa! I love your ink work. I love the airplane too. I was think of objects to scale mine. all of these are so dope. I think the first one maybe sort of that grungy look. What are the cylinders? Wonderful start. I'm excited to see where this start and your creative being takes you! Thanks for sharing.
-
@dafoota Thanks! I'm not sure I'm going to go in the plane direction. Those are Oxygen tanks. People who hike Everest just leave them up there because they "can't" pack them back out. they leave tents other gear up there too. There are actual landfills there for all the hiking trash.

@Naters-Calderone I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I really love the plane crash idea! But these are all great ideas.
-
@dafoota thanks! I'm having fun
-
@Asyas_illos Yeah, the plane is pretty fun but I think I'm gunna workshop it a bit more.
-
Okay I woke up with this idea and really like the direction. I think I'm going to go with a frozen mammoth as the main structure of the yeti house.
-
@Naters-Calderone awesome that’s going to be epic! Can’t wait to see how it comes along!
-
@Naters-Calderone That's going to be so cool! Bones seem like it would really fit with your yeti's personality. Can't wait to see your development with this idea
-
I love the airplane idea, it was a surprise and totally makes sense. But my favorite is below it because those tanks? in the snow totally look like his fingers shoveling food (unsuspecting travelers?) into his mouth
-
@HeatherBouteneff yeah that one seams to be a fan-fav. I feel like the yeti really doesn't like people so it wouldn't want to live in a human construct.
-
Okay so here is the design so far.
These are the colors I'm working with... I'm going to play with it some more but I could use some feedback.
I want to find a good balance between detail and simplicity. -
@Naters-Calderone wow you are so talented...this has my vote
-
@K-Flagg Hey thanks. That's very kind.
-
@Naters-Calderone looks great, looking forward to seeing the next set of details added.
-
I need some more eyes. I feel like I'm coming close to overworking this, but it still feels a bit flat. What do you think?
-
Have you thought about mailbox or chimney yet? I think overall it’s got just enough and I think once you add the mailbox chimney vegetation and personal belongings it will create more to look at and maybe you could do more detail in those things?
-
@Naters-Calderone I think it's looking good as is! I don't feel like it's "flat".
However, I'm also wondering about the rest of the items like the chimney and mailbox, etc. Are you planning on including those elements as well?
-
@Jacy13 @Asyas_illos
Yeah I figured the campfire is a good sub for the smokestack, and I wasn't going to add the mailbox or vegetation because It didn't feel like it fit the "story" of my yeti (I don't think it wants to receive any mail.) But maybe I should work it in somehow.
Thanks
