It's nice to see another Pilipina join SVS. Other Pilipinas include @Nyrryl-Cadiz and @donnamakesart.

I was also born in the Philippines, but my family migrated to the US after only one year. I majored in architecture which is also odd but yet some skills from my major helped influence some of my art. I think you can do the same with what you learned with your microbiology degree or your liking to science.

Hi @Jeannelle-Pita your watercolour work is so pretty! Following you on gram! Glad you followed your heart. I did the same, I'm an Architect by my profession but Illustration has been my true passion. Once I quit my daily job there is no looking back ever since. Has been one of the best decision I ever made.
