Very cool characters here
-
@kylebeaudette thanks man! I much prefer your puppets (mannequins?)
-
More doodles. I wonder if it's possible (or painful) to put piercings in horns?

Considering it's not painful to cut a cow's horns, I think you're safe!
Your work is looking really good! I love to see your process. I really love the vibe of this kid, especially with the kinda "about to eat" (open mouthed) pose

Actually... as someone who grew up on a cow dairy farm... I can say it definitely hurts. And it's bloody. The horns actually have a blood supply through them. So painful AND bloody!
But I have seen a lot of pictures of indigenous peoples decorating the horns of their animals by wrapping leather, metal, or fiber around them, and that does look pretty cool! It's a neat idea to decorate the horns of a faun-type character... haven't seen too much of that, but it's totally fitting, since it's such a distinctive trait!
Awesome drawings as usual @Braden-Hallett!! Thanks for sharing your process. I'm learning a lot!

Love all these especially excited to see llama!

-
@emergingeden You may be thinking of antlers

Ooh! I like that idea! I was gonna have stuff wrapped around his ears, but horn ribbons makes sense!

@Braden-Hallett haha oui oui

Edging closer!
-
Do you prefer with the old woman pointing the way, or without?
-
I love the old woman! She definitely adds a layer of story and reinforces that Sammy is heading out on a journey.
-
I like it with the old woman, but that's partly because I like seeing his head against the green fields instead of the blue mountains. This is looking great!
-
@Braden-Hallett I agree that the older woman adds to the piece overall. Especially in the storytelling department

Cool cool! yeah, I think her pointing the way adds a layer of story, too. Thanks
