Working on a Garden Gnome. By oak, ash, and thorn we'd better behave in this fellow's garden!..still lots to do... the pipe makes it not very kids book friendly ...but he is mostly for my wife:)
-
@Kevin-Longueil what program do you use? I may be interested in doing some 3D stuff
-
@chrisaakins It is called Nomad Sculpt... though i did build the the shape of the boots and the curve of the pipe in Shapr3D... they are both ipad apps... super fun - able to do things i could never pull off with real clay ... you just start with a sphere and build up and take away just like real clay.
-
@Kevin-Longueil cool! I am downloading it now!
-
@chrisaakins would love to see what you do with it!
-
@demotlj I grew up on in Wayne county! The chimney bluffs were always cool to check out in the summer
-
@JoshLewisArt I've lived in western NY all my life and this is the first time I've been there. I couldn't believe I hadn't been there before. Really beautiful.
-
I had the idea to illustrate some Aesop’s fables, but with a modern twist, so I started with the Tortoise and the Hare. -
More watercolour attempts -
@Matthew-Oberdier hilarious! This is great!

Thank you so much!
-
@kylebeaudette No, these are not very kid-friendly, but there is something very authentic (I hate the word authentic, but can't think of anything better at the moment) about these. Kind of Quentin Blake for adults. Love 'em!
-
Had a commission to do a dog portrait. I don't do a lot of these, but it's nice to step away from the ipad and apple pencil for a while.
-
@Janette Very nice! What is that that you use for the white strokes?
-
@ajillustrates Mostly just the paper showing though. I did get a tool that scratches away the pencil, but I didn't like it much. Maybe I just a bit more practice with it.
-
@Janette absolutely beautiful! You rendered this fella so lovingly. ️
-
@kylebeaudette These fox characters are just the best!!!
-
@Melissa-Bailey-0 Thank you. I love doing the fur ... just couldn't do it all the time!
-
@kylebeaudette LOL Brillant. These are so great!
-
@LauraA thanks! Yes, I love Quentin Blake and am drawing in ink with no pencils, (which is how he works I believe?) These guys are fun characters, I hope to do something with them
