MAY CONTEST: Fairy Tale Traveler situation
-
Hi Everyone! As usual you all are amazing!!! I'm down to the wire so I'm going for "done not perfect" this month, lol. Good luck everybody!!!
-
Here's my submission. Lots of great entries this month!
-
Ah-MAZE-ing entries this month, everyone!
Here's mine. (Did you know that if acorns are put in a fire, they pop and jump around? It might have inspired my fairytale situation -- out of sight but ready with a plan to frighten away the enemies!)
-
@ruth Awesome! LOVE the POV you chose -- really heightens the story!
-
@Janette absolutely beautiful rendering! Love your limited palette and creative linework. It really compliments your whimsical style.
-
@lizardillo, you knocked it out of the park again! (Sorry, that's an Americanism ...) Spot on with the prompt! Great storytelling.
-
@joosterwijk -- LOVE your dynamic pencil textures! Great perspective.
@Jeremiahbrown -- WOW, all that detail and texture! Amazing rendering.

@aurelia -- your dino is SO cute! He looks like he just wants a friend. ️
@Kim-Rosenlof -- LOVE your twist on the Big Bad Wolf and your characters' creative ways to give him his comeuppance! Great rendering, as always!
@mag -- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! True worm's eye perspective!
@Braden-Hallett -- amazing, as always! Love that you decided to go black & white on this one!
@cshillustration -- love the camera angle and the lighting in your piece.
@Tiffany-Thomas -- this month's prompt played to your strengths! Love how you rendered your characters.

I tried doing this one all digital. I have to admit that I struggled with doing it this way, and those of you who do digital have earned my respect! It is something I need to practice. I have a Wacom Intuos Tablet that I hope to replace with a Cintiq or an Ipad someday. I like the idea of drawing directly on the screen. This is still a WIP, but I won't have time to finish it more before the deadline.
-
@Melissa-Bailey-0 Thank you! Amazing work! Really eye-catching and I love the perspective. I keep looking at it and notice things that I didn't notice beforehand, like the flame on the acorn. Funny!
-
@Melissa-Bailey-0 thanks Melissa! Your entry is awesome too!! Good luck!
-
Today I'm just coming back to this page and looking again and again at all the amazing art! All are fun and interesting, and many are just really beautifull and professional! (Good thing I was too tired last night to see the other entries before I submited, I might have been too shy to do it )

Woohoo! Just managed to slip this one in last night before the deadline and now I'm uploading it here! This prompt was so much fun!! ( I ended up drawing a little wide and then cropping it to the correct ratio for the submission.)
-
