Moving on from thumbnails to a more decided composition sketch, with a bit of a shot at values. I think I will put Albert in the image, and for added fun, my daughter Eva I'll be off on vacation before the end of the month, I hope I will be able to finish this...

@Oana wow this is stunning! I was reading through the thread I agree with everyone-- I LOVE HOW EXPRESSIVE everything is! Your sketches of Albert, his finished design, the lighting now in his house design and the whole feel of this color study. there is an artist I really admire called Jo Rioux who draws in a very sketchy way but it still looks finished and so beautiful, here is a link to a video she did on her process--it is mostly traditional but i'm sure there is an application for the process in digital media also.

@R-Fey-Realme Thank you, and thank you for the link, I did not know the artist and I love that style! Process videos are useful across traditional/digital media I think. It is easier for me to get a finished image in digital, but I think I work in procreate much as I was on paper, with the perks of course of "undo" and "layers"... and I always start sketching ideas on paper first.
