First color painting done, though if there are any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them to make it better.

I don't have any suggestions - I think he's brilliant and I love the way his ears glow 🙂

@Gary-Wilkinson could we see what he'd look like with his mouth under his nose, not smiling but nervous?

                      Weird request😅

@Gary-Wilkinson Really cool character. I love the ear, pointy, loud, full of energy.
I love the twist of having a tie in the contrast of portraying a rebellious character. I wonder if the rebellious feel would be better described if he is wearing the tie in slightly wrong way.

Super cute design!! I really love the way you painted him. The texture and the brush work adds a lot to his personality.

I'm thinking to move the character more towards a regular fox than a fennec as I think the change in ear color will give it a bit more color variety. Also I made the tie a bit longer and the head slightly bigger, but im on the fence about the tie.

                                What do you think?

                                Black or without?
                                Long or short tie?

Love the glowing ears! I like the colour change on the ears and the bigger head but I think I prefer the shorter tie...

@Gary-Wilkinson I think longer tie works a little bit better as it emphasises the character's small size. You've done a really nice job of pushing the cute proportions, I really love everything about this character design !

I like the darker colours but prefer the shorter tie. It’s framed nicely in his belly. It all gets a bit busy where it ends when it is longer.

Speaking for all of us who had to wear a tie for school—like, a real tie, not a clip on one, ALL the cool (rebellious) kids wore their tie as short as they could get away with. Somewhere, wrapped around their bodies, like a fabric snake, the rest of the tie was hidden.

I was not a cool or rebellious kid. I was a rule follower. My tie was regulation length.

                                        I LOVE this character. 🙂

Darker colour and shorter tie gets my vote. Maybe even shorter for the tie? I agree with @janette about the rebelliousness 🙂 Looking really good!

I vote for darker ears and shorter tie as well. Wonderful character.
