@chrisaakins this is amazing. I love the style choice, everything about this home is appealing to me. Great work, you’ve got my vote!
JULY CONTEST: Albert needs a home!

I read this as exterior 3/4 shot. Is that correct? Or is it just 3/4 shot and can be interior?
-
@Kevin-Treaccar I think the whole presentation reads "exterior"... It mentions "a building", it should look "suburban".. maybe an interior could be suggestive too but I think it would be more difficult, no? I also looked at the previous challenge "a house for a Yeti" and those were all exterior representations.

Here's mine which is also a combo of the classes I've been taking on the Foundations Path (can't wait to do Creative Comp, the Light and Shadow Class, and the more in depth perspective!). This month I also tried Will's dry brush acrylic class which is what I tried for this illustration. It's Albert the Beaver, adopted by rabbits and who loves his new brother. They are in his beaver den clubhouse. Can't wait to see more of your Albert houses!

My Albert is a polar bear cub who travels south to an English seaside town for his summer holiday. He falls in love with ice-cream and makes friends with the son of the couple who run the B&B where he's staying. He starts helping out around the place and at the end of the summer they invite him to stay.
(the architecture of the house is based on the hotels around Brighton, where I recently visited :))
There's more I wanted to do with this but time is getting short so this is where I'll leave it.

@Rachel-Horne I love your style! it's the sort of thing I always have in my head before I start a piece but somewhere along the way it morphs into some other style and I never quite manage it
