Something a little different. I've got a bunch of Potter wannabe kid sketches to paint up when I have the time, but took a little detour and tried the sketch style on one of them. I've added in a little color to make the scene a bit more interesting too. I've wondered whether to add some tone to the background or whether to keep it white. Any thoughts?

I don’t think that I would change a thing. I love the potter picture - it’s so good!

@Gary-Wilkinson I haven’t seen stand by me, I probably should. I think it’s considered a classic. Your sketches are great. I love the look of a good clean pencil sketch. Can I ask what brush you used?

@Pamela-Fraley I still surprised that there are people who dont know Stand by Me 😃

The brush I use is a custom brush. It's like a hard crayon type brush with a texture on

Stand By Me is a wonderful movie. It’s based off a short story (I believe) by Stephen King. It has some great actors in it as well. Narrated by Richard Dreyfus if I remember correctly.

A third one for the Harry Potter series. I actually did this one a little while ago in color, but wanted to see how I could translate it into a sketching style. I still prefer the color one, but it was a nice exercise.
