More progressβ¦
-
This work came out of Assignment #3 of Shane Hunts Effective Vehicle Design class. I had some difficulty with simplifying what elements I wanted from 2-3 boats. I made a far more complicated design and then took a step back and rethought. I will need to put more of what I learned from what I was suppose to have done in this assignment into the following ones.
This illustration came from a combination of reading The Wind in the Willow and a poor squirrel we have seen in our neighborhood who had lost the use of both his back legs and dragged himself around.
We haven't seen him lately.

We found the Vessel!

Better contrast and, of course, airships!

Apparently I find maps therapeutic. Planning out the map of a generic small town in BC. Curling club, hockey rink, hydro dam and all the other random trappings of one of the many little towns between less little towns.
-
Another still life painting, this one in diffused lighting.
-
Same pose with natural lighting from the window.
Studying light and shadow in still life.
-
Working on this sketch for a new book, taking longer than I was hoping to get it right
-
More of my Quentin Blake/Tim Burton/Dr. Suess/Richard Scarry stuff
