Facebook & Instagram are down?

It's been nuts today. It taught me two things: that I probably need to detox because I kept compulsively checking to see if it was back and when I actually have art that I want to post I can't...hahaha

@carlianne from what I’ve gathered so far, it seems like Facebook did this on purpose after the whistleblower revealed information about FB algorithm, about how it promotes hate coz inciting anger is the best way to keep users on their platform, and allows them to earn more money.

@lpetiti i totally agree. If proven to be true, this is very damning for their company. All that hate, anger, and misinformation they’ve amplified has negatively impacted the world

@Nyrryl-Cadiz the only thing I would miss is all of the photos I've got on both FB and IG...everything else is savagable. It looks like things are going back online though. Time for the aftermath...
