Who puts up the stars in the sky?
I started this for the November critique arena prompt "star" but was not able to finish it until now. Was fun trying working with mainly one color.

I’ve been working on my November prompt star since I missed out and needed something to do, but I just loved how these mermaids came out! So I divided the illustration Into three individuals.

I have been really pushing myself with textures and letting go of hard line work and edges and it feels really good! I used to struggle with details and control but I’m much prouder of my work now than I was before!

I’ve been struggling a lot with depression and anxiety about my art. Today is the first day in a month and a half that I’ve been able to draw.

️ You’re not alone with your struggles, I think it was close to eight months before I started again. Actually my mother in law bought the year subscription for me for Christmas, a week or so ago, that’s when I finally felt some motivation to create art. my anxiety and depression aren’t solely from my art but it doesn’t help that’s for sure, I feel ya. -

Might be funny if the audience were holding up matches or lit up call phones. The irony of a star holding a light source.
