How to use the Forum
-
I didn’t see any course or training on how to use or interact with the Forum. This looks very busy and congested for someone of my social caliber. (Lack-There-Of).
I want to be as active as I can for this social media stuff is in fact one of my flaws in life.
Is there a course on how to utilize this porting of the site?
Once I learn how to use this forum and feel more comfortable here, I will chime in more often and offer my critiques when asked.
Thank You

@doodlemick There really isn't a tutorial on how to use the forums. The user interface at the top of the page requires some personal exploring to see what the different buttons do--you just need to dive in and try them. Most of them adjust how you see the different posts and threads by sorting them using different parameters--unread, most recent, different tags, which posts are most popular, etc. If you hover over each symbol, you'll see a pop-up title of what it does.
All I can suggest you do is just hunt and peck and dive in. The most useful aspect of the user interface on this forum is that you can change how you want the forum threads organized by using the "unread" and "recent" buttons can be useful to help sort things, as well as the large grey buttons on the top left of the thread listings that can organize things by topic or categories, etc.
The best advice I can offer is to just dive in and play. Hover and click on buttons and see what they do. You won't break anything.

@doodlemick There's no guide or course, no. The more you provide feedback and interact with others, the more they'll return the favour.
In general it's a very subdued and polite forum
Sometimes there won't be any activity on a post, but that's mostly because there aren't all that many of us here.
