Cover for a mg-ya book I’ve been working on wip
-
I've been reworking some old illustrations and trying to find a consistent repeatable style. Here's two new ones.
-
@Larue Thanks!
-
This week I've been reminiscing back to partying in student houses in Newcastle back in the late 2000s. These student houses were always leaky and covered in mould, meaning that at least one slug would turn up to each party. He became known as the Fun Slug!
-
As someone who resorts to sketching and the use of line, I'm trying to push myself to block in shapes and focus on silhouettes - I often fall into things looking too stiff, so I hope this is a good way to loosen up
-
Starting some more thumbs for a new book cover design here’s one that I liked and enlarged. very rough lol don’t laugh. Just kidding please laugh
-

@Asyas_illos I love this movie(What a combination, Brian Froud's work, David Bowie and Jim Henson) Brian Froud- Such an inspiration to many illustrators.

@PenAndrew one of the best movies born in the 80s! Love Brian froud
-
@Asyas_illos Yes and I guess you love the Dark Crystal too? A wonderfully designed movie with Froud and Jim Henson. I can not remember which came first, I think it was this one.

@skillydan from the student houses that me and my friends lived in while in Derby, the fun slug is totally relatable! I woke up one morning and the drink next to my bed was full of ants
