Yes, it's not a "rabbit road race" idea, but I think your daughter just gave you gold for a portfolio piece.

I love the idea of "carrot-sel" with carrots replacing the horses. It would be even funnier if a young rabbit couldn't resist taking a bite out of one of the carrots.

@Asyas_illos You’ve got the medium and huge components of the composition, but I think you could use more small objects; particularly on the cloud the frog is sitting on. Maybe little flags sticking up or something?

Really loving this piece, the colors are gorgeous and I love the brushwork style especially on the edges. What brush/ brushes do you use?

@Griffin thanks griffin I generally use only three brushes in procreate one a gouache brush two a rake, and three 6b pencil for details. Plus a couple watercolor things for sparkles and finishing touches.

@Griffin i think those are in procreate though I’ve downloaded a few brush packs that they might have apart of… I can’t recall.

@Asyas_illos I love your saturated colors!

Re: your Redwood composition, it certainly feels like a magical place, and it makes sense for a tall tree to take up a lot of vertical space on the page- but I feel like the characters are really crammed into the bottom with other similarly sized background details, and having a hard time competing with the high contrast tree above.

How about a "worm" point of view? That would emphasize the height/grandeur of the tree while providing more real estate for your characters. You mentioned that that the inspiration was an old stump, but this is fiction- you could make a full tree that goes on and on, with no end in sight!

Lots of great work so far. Your graveyard environment is awesome!

Working on another concept. I wanted to do a spot illustration since I’ve been lacking those…

@Asyas_illos Have you seen the Making of Frozen 2 doc on Disney+ yet? This reminds me of the girl animating the group/school/pod/dunno of reindeer running and singing.

@Asyas_illos The whole series is great, but her breaking down how she did that was hilarious and one of the biggest highlights.

Ok update what do you guys think? Does everybody look proportional, for the most part? Can you tell the predator is a fox? Composition? I’m still going to adjust a few things like light and shadow. But this pretty much done.

@Asyas_illos Brilliant concept! Honestly it is a bit difficult for me to tell that it is a fox trying to pass off as rabbit.

I didn't realize it was sticking its tongue out in a "yummy buffet ahead" kind of way because I spent a few seconds trying to guess what it is before realizing it was a tongue.
Maybe a couple of teeth would give a stronger hint?

Also is the number 4 deliberately mirror imaged? It's the first thing that struck me lol. Great job with the rabbits' expressions

@ArtMelC thanks for the feedback! I’ll see what I can do about making him more readable as a fox. My daughter said he looked like a bear… and yes I made the 4 backwards on purpose to show that he doesn’t really know what’s going on, he’s just trying to get a bite to eat, I contemplated making it a letter lol.

@Rebecca-Jensen thanks for the feedback that would’ve been a great pov! Perhaps on another I’ve already submitted this one I know it’s not the best of my entries and that’s ok. Maybe I can rework it for the old portfolio, huh?
