Hello everyone! I'ts been a while since I posted anything here but I just wanted to share what I was currently working on.. pretty much for myself.

Working on some portfolio pieces and for some reason I'm really loving star-nosed moles at the moment. And I'm really loving Strathmore mixed media toned paper.

Here's a sketch of Star-nosed Storytime:

And some progress on Star-nosed Jamboree:

This is the gouache/watercolor layer, getting down local colors. Colored pencil is the next step of the process.

Hi all! This August I am trying to get into a more relaxed way of working, and just did some work trying to follow some project ideas I had and trying not to have many expectations (although that is a really dificult thing to do!). I also bought a new box of colored pencils and you can see I have some sea side inspiration.

Currently I am drawing something that could be the cover for a story I have been brewing for some time. I am all traditional media right now... just feels better for me....

@Oana thanks a bunch! Yes, that's all I have right now ... working on these when I've got some free time and feel like it, which isn't often because I'm working on an illustration project and the deadline is looming.

@kirsten-mcg thank you! Yes, get some! It's so much fun to work on. Changes the process a bit, but I've found that the learning curve is not that big.
