End of the line…wip ^_^

@Asyas_illos I still like the middle one. It looks happier to me. Also, the ones with the darker water lose the edge of the rope.
Also, can you try moving your character up a little? the line of the stretched out arm is right along the horizon line. -
@Miriam thanks for catching that I thought it was raised enough, but at a distance it’s totally on there.
I think I’m going to call it on this but let me know if anything else stands out.
-
Love this composition @Asyas_illos!
-
@Jeremy-Ross thank you!
-
@Asyas_illos I love how this turned out! And in looking through your earlier versions I didn't even notice the recycling sign in the one until I read your comment about it, but I still got the concept immediately! I think you did a great job of making this complex story come through!
-
So I’m still messing with colors and comp, but here’s how this werewolf Kamari is settling up. I’m not sure if I like the dog style, I may try other breeds too.
-
@Asyas_illos I like this idea very much and how the transition is playing out!
I just noticed the white dog might be a bit off? It looks like he's watching something behind the kid, maybe if you move him front a bit?
Other wise, your ideas are brilliant and I admire how many different illustrations you are able to come up with each month!! -
@mag thanks! And yes the dog was kind of a spur of the moment thing I’ll definitely play around with it’s positioning.
-
@Asyas_illos can you lend me some of your speed?!?! Blows my mind how many you submit (and they're all amazing!). I'm sooooo sloooooow! ️
-
@Asyas_illos Ah I love this idea Asya! And fab composition! Don't know whether you're thinking of adding it but I'm wondering if a bite mark on his arm might make it clearer that he's just been bitten? And the dog is adorable, know you've just added it but I reckon if you could make the dog look a little bit more surprised that could drum home the idea that this is a new occurance? Xx
-
@Asyas_illos these are great I love the girl at the back!
-
@helenbrady one reason I tend to work fast is that I have adhd and I will lose interest if I take too much time with it. It’s a blessing and a curse because I love illustrations with loads of detail like yours, I wish I had the patience to do it! It’s something I’ve been trying to achieve lately. And thank you!
-
I’ve been kicking around some other ideas, making thumbnails, while playing with the color on this werewolf Kamari. I swear this prompt is the worst! Lol I don’t love any of my ideas this month, just not feeling inspired by it.
-
So I cropped this added a few more details and I think I’ll do some lighting and shadows before calling it quits with this one, any last thoughts and critiques are still welcome.
-
@Asyas_illos I love how his dog looks excited at this new occurrence! "Finally my human will understand me!" The werewolf in the back really helps get the story across.
-
Do you guys think the crashed bike adds anything to the story or composition?
-
@Asyas_illos I like the transition process on the boy, his expression, & the big moon in the back.
The werewolf could look more menacing. It looks skinny.
I agree that it's fun / amusing that the dog seems happy about the change.

This is where I ended up with this one, think I’m going to call it.

Working on some more Kamari sketches. I’ve been wanting to do one witth a cat because of the 9 lives thing, but went with a clearer new beginning (meaning life with a fisherman).
I struggle with interesting povs and perspective and almost always revert to straight on shots but for this one I couldn’t come up with an angle that showed everything I needed to tell this story.
Here’s a sketch and some beginning color.
