Hey everyone! This is our final prompt of 2022, so we saved the best for last

But be sure to set aside plenty of time to work on it, because it might also be our hardest

The prompt for November is: This was the end of the road for Kamari...or was it a new beginning?

For this month’s prompt, we want to see a full page illustration that tells a story about our friend Kamari. What lies ahead for Kamari?

PRO TIP: If you want to improve your odds at making the Top 16, this is your chance! For the third year running, we'll be holding the All Stars competition, where all the previous winners from 2022 compete for the championship title. So, strategy-wise, if you’ve been a contender in the past, this would be a good time to submit since the top contenders will be out of the picture!!

As always, be sure to submit via the Critique Arena website.

And we would love it if you post your final entry right here too so everyone can check it out and comment!

@LisaF the all stars prompt is showing the same as November, so is November only open to all stars? Or is that an error on the arena page?

@AngelinaKizz Great question! The prompt is the same for both November and the All Stars. The two winners from November will be entered into the All Stars competition

@Lisa sorry, I'm rather confused. If the two winners submissions for kamari are entered into the all stars, then what do the other previous 20 winners (minus repeats) illustrate?

@AngelinaKizz if I understand correctly, past winners do not compete in Nov but used their art for the same prompt to compete in ALL STARS. The winning pieces from Nov is then thrown into the ALL STARS mix to compete again. ️

@ArtMelC oooooh! That makes more sense! So Kamari will be whittled down to two, who move into the all stars against the other winners. Gotcha. I’m not sure why my brain couldn’t wrap around it… thanks!

@LisaF Sorry to ask such a "stupid" question (I am not from the US is my only excuse)....but who or what is Kamari? When I google I get it is a beach in Greece or a female Hyena? Or could I just make up the character?

@LottaBergman Kamari is just a random name, so you're free to make it whomever (or whatever) you want. Kamari is an arabic name that means moon.
