For this month’s prompt, I decided to challenge myself with a style I’ve never done before, Paper Cut Art. I really enjoyed the process because it felt like I was creating a set for a play.
I also wanted to create a piece to add to my portfolio, so I’m also sharing my painting.

This was a combination htfya prompt- slowvember- master study- personal project style development piece. I figured out a lot of new things and kept your advice from the previous htfya in mind, but i know there is plenty more for me to figure out or at least plenty of kinks in this approach to iron out through more practice. Any and all thoughts, observations, and insights are welcome (including just reading the image and letting me know what you see and in what order, and what you think the story is is immensely helpful to let me know if I accomplished what i was trying to do.) Thanks for the prompt!

I wasn't going to submit this one because I reread the submission info today and realised this doesn't quite fit... I mean, it is just a rock... But I figure I'll just stick it in last-minute and look silly, and that's ok. I'm just glad I painted something and enjoyed every moment of it. In fact I wasn't going to do one this month at all, but I did it only this week because inspiration struck unexpectedly. So I hope no one else minds me looking silly either.
P.S. The inspiration that attacked me so last-minute was Psalm 94:22 "The Lord has become my stronghold; and my God the rock of my refuge." And there was also something about floods somewhere.
