Hi all -- I'm Erin and I'm an art teacher (kids and beginning adults @art.with.ms.hawkins) with a personal art practice @erin.s.hawkins on Instagram. My long-term goal is to become a picture book author/illustrator. Here are my before and after drawings. Before.jpeg After.jpeg

I used a reference image but I'm hoping to improve my ability to draw from imagination like Jake Parker does in this course -- it was a joy to watch and draw along with him! Did anyone else notice we got 10 minutes for the first drawing and 15 minutes for the second drawing? So the extra time definitely played into the improvement, but even if I had only 10 minutes for the second one, I think I'd still notice a difference. It was so helpful to practice line control and drawing in perspective. I'm looking forward to meeting some other drawing enthusiasts here!
