          @Kevin-Longueil Wow!!! This is phenomenal. I am always amazed by your drawing skills Kevin. I really think that if you start illustrating YA novels especially, you'll start winning awards. Beautiful work.

            A-maz-ing!! I really like the openness of the interpretation, could be landing in a new place with the boat going out, or could be going to the shore for the incoming ship...either way, new adventure awaits! Wonderful job Kevin! good luck!

                  Thank you all so much! It's so hard to see past the flaws sometimes (especially at 1:30 in the morning) so waking up to your support was so great!! -
                  @natiwata - Thank you again for the huge compliment and support - i often wonder where drawings like mine would live - i really do love children's books and thats what brought me here but what i naturally come up with and enjoy drawing are kind of dark images that do not seem to fit in - i think YA is where i should start picturing my work - thank you!
                  @Lynn-Larson Thank you Lynn! - I like the openness of interpretation too - are they arriving or are they departing and who is really leading whom (i think that is correct usage of "whom") ?
                  @mattramsey Thank you!!- i would love to be one of the Tippy-tops Matt! Would love to get a critique one of these thursdays 🙂
                  @jacs Thank you Jacqueline!

                    @Kevin-Longueil I agree with all the other comments - this really is a superlative piece, I love the drawing - you always have drawn trees so beautifully and this time you've woven them into a fantastic composition which describes the text perfectly. It makes me want to read more of the story and find out where the man will be led to next. Great job!

                    I also agree with @natiwata's comment about this style being suited to YA illustration in particular...
