      Welcome! I'm pretty new here too, and it's a really good community. As far as what to start with, I would say that depends on what you want to improve on. You mentioned you want to get into illustrating books, and Will Terry has a two part series on illustrating children's books, so that might be a good place to start, or, whatever you feel the least comfortable with- For me, I've never been comfortable drawing machinery so I started with Jake Parker's class on that.

        Hi, welcome! I'm new here to. I love this spreadsheet posted in another thread:

        http://forum.svslearn.com/topic/2511/svslearn-course-spreadsheet

        I downloaded it and rearranged into the order that I want to take the classes. It is nice to look at all the classes in a list like that and to keep track too, and also if I've done the homework sheets or not.

          @Ranjani-Raghavan

          The forum is a great place to start!

          But regarding the courses, I think it depends upon where your/their needs are.

          I might suggest @Jake-Parker class: How to Draw Everything Fundamentals Series as a good starting point.

          I started with @Lee-White classes on the business side of things: How To Make Money in Illustration Part 1, Part 2, Part 3

                        Hi Folks
                        I’m a newbie to the forum though I found SVS about year and half ago, become fascinated by the length and breadth of this resource and its insights. I’ve just resubscribed for another year looking at redirecting my skills and embracing new ones as I pursue a career in Illustration.

                        InkOctober project is awesome …

                        Any suggestions where to dive in? . . .
