Thanks SVS for hosting this contest! Not only did I have a lot of fun illustrating it, but it gave me inspiration for a writing prompt too!

Hi guys, my name's James. First time posting! I sketched this on paper, thinking that a mermaid should have proportionally larger hands and tail then we're used to seeing. I colored it digitally in about 20 minutes

@jameswulfe I think it needs to be a jpg or png. It looks like yours is a PDF which is for print usually. Hope that helps! Nice mermaid! I dig it.
