I use to use moviemaker or Nero before switching to Adobe. 😁

@jason-bowen you might need to find an old version of moviemaker as they have reduced the capabilities on the new one.

@chip-valecek you can make a Timelapse video in Photoshop. Just go to WINDOW then click Timeline then press Create Video Timeline and drop your media in there or click the little video icon and add media. You can add multiple layers to and change the length of clips. Good for making GIF loops too.

Hey its been a while but I stumbled across this and just put it on my computer and it works and has all the features that old moviemaker was known for. 🙂

@Jason-Bowen thanks, i will have to check it out. I was able to figure out how to make OpenShot not crash. It seems to crash when you try to do any time lapse over x6 the speed. So the work around was to render once at x4 and then again at x4.

@Chip-Valecek I use my iPad and the Go-Pro app called Splice. I know that Go-Pro has a desktop version of their movie editing software. For the simple vids I do, it works for me.

For simple stuff I use one called Easy Movie Maker in Windows.

For more in depth projects I actually use Blender (yes, the 3d modelling software). It has surprisingly nice video editing capability, but (like everything Blender) the learning curve is a bit steep.
