I have come up with another book cover idea... which one do you think is the best the first or second idea. I'm considering replacing my other entry with this one once finished... any thoughts welcome 🙂

For composition, I like the second one. It's more interesting spatially. Conceptually I don't know, except that I recognize the scenes as coming from each book. I'm just not Harry Potter savvy enough to speak to that. Is there an image that can really capture something unique about the concept of each book?

I agree, the second one is interesting, especially because the smoke from the top brings some continuity down through the piece in my opinion 🙂 I do really like the green light in the first though!

I'm the same, in terms of composition I like the second one as there is lots of action going on, but then I like that green light you have in the first one, what is the green light? is it a passageway or the philosophers stone? For the first one I'd probably lose the sorting hat only because it's not a huge part to the overall story 🙂

@hannahmccaffery Thanks. The sorting hat was a good moment in the story though so I will keep it. 🙂
