MAY CONTEST: MERMAY!

Hey everyone, so this month is going to be Mermay for the contest! ANNDDDDDDD, we have the official creator of Mermay to be the guest judge!!! What??!!!!!!! That's how we roll around here! Tom Bancroft will be judging with me at the end of the month. Here's more about Tom: http://tombancroftstudio.com/. Oh yea, he worked on some small films you may have heard of. Like THE LION KING and ALLADIN! and a ton of other super famous things! We are so excited to say the least!
So a couple of details:

The contest is open to anyone. But the winners and runners up will only be selected from active SVS members. We will do a video crit of that work and it will be available for all subscribers to see. If you aren't a subscriber, you can still enter and you will be able to see who won. But you won't be able to see the video crits.

Post only your best Mermay pics in this forum post for the contest. I know many people do lots of different mermay entries, so let's keep this contest for the very best image you make.

Post only finished pieces here. Post WIP projects in their own thread.

Put your real name and forum name on the image somewhere (can be on a border if you like). Make it legible so I can read it! : )

Argh! Tom is judging... I've been listening to the Bancroft Brothers Podcast for the past few months...they are truly inspirational. Very cool!

This is my first time participating in Mermay and the website is currently down, do our submissions have to be completed within a single day similar to Inktober?

@Lee-White I think she means www.mermay.com. It's throwing an error. I noticed it too when looking for info on the prompt. Are there any guidelines for MerMay outside of just "draw a mermaid"?

@Lee-White Sorry, I should have been more specific. The official Mermay website was down, but it is back up now! I was just wondering do our submissions for this month need to be completed within a single day, or follow one of the official Mermay prompts for the month?
