Sundays would work better for my wife and me. I could do next Sunday, unless that's too short notice. I also don't want to exclude @holleywilliamson , so you should totally plan a Saturday if that works for everyone else.

@ashinmakes not sure how active you are on the forums, but sent you a direct message in regards to meeting up closer to Tustin.

@shinjfujioka That may be a bit too short notice, but let me get back to you. What time of day would work for you?

@Glenda-Rogers Next Sunday should be fine as well. What works for the others in this thread? And the earlier the better. Like maybe noonish.

I can make any of the Sundays (or Saturdays) you guys set down. I'm on summer break and live 20 minutes away. I don't have any conflicts in the foreseeable future.

Ok, We are on! Next Sunday, being June 2nd, (as in NEXT? Sunday? @shinjifujioka ?)

Because it's the holiday weekend I want to be sure. Please let me know asap, about which one, as I can do THIS Sunday, May 26th, but it will be a bit tight for me due to a holiday committment at dinner time and evening. I'm willing to try if you guys want.

Can you guys email me at glenda@glendarogers.com with your email addresses, and I will send you directions to the office and my telephone number.

To kick us off, I'll bring bagels and smears, coffee and tea is already there as office staples. If you want a different beverage, probably best to bring it with you. Also, we do have a real water cooler with mineralized water, cold and hot, for mixing anything you want to bring for yourself.

I'm excited about this! I think it's going to be a good group!

@Coreyartus I was thinking about your concern about being at a level that's helpful, and realized you bring a major important skill with you, Costume Design and handling. Children's books and fantasy art, always involves costumes and clothing handling, so that your knowledge, I would say, will be invaluable to setting scenes and making them more dramatic and improving realism in rendering. You're an expert in this, and that is a serious asset in illustration. There have been times in my life, where I was asked to portray certain scenes and had to do a lot of digging to even begin to find out, what a style would look like, and if I could have picked up the phone and had an expert at hand, it would have been a tremendous asset.

@Glenda-Rogers Yes, June 2nd is what I was thinking. I think that will give a few others time to plan for it?

@Glenda-Rogers Thanks, Glenda, that's very encouraging. I'll join you folks and contribute what I can, but it's clear to me that the road of my educational journey is just beginning. I'm not really embarrassed by it, it's just that I am at a different point than I think most of you are. I'll gladly share what I can. LOL! I am really looking forward to meeting some other SoCal SVSers!!
