@MichaelaH I am loving these. You show so much personality in these characters you are doing from the shapes. They are so imaginative and appealing.

@demotlj Thank You so much, I have to say, it is hard for me, not drawing the characters, but to fit them somehow...yo great exercise 🙂

          One "Finish"

One Sketch I didn't think would work as a finish but was fun:

There was some composition issues among other things and the goal is to make a series, but this one skews on a tangent. Still fun though.

After a long bathroom remodel I was able to take a few days to relax in the pool and of course doodle. Here is a little self portrait of myself.

continue exploring to develop my style of image making. Trying out hard edges, almost no lighting, and lots of textures, and a bit of patterns. reading.jpg

We took a road trip to Yellowstone and one of my friends was kind enough to watch our house (and my guinea pigs) while we were gone. So I painted this illustration of her 3 cats as a thank-you gift. I can't just paint plain pet portraits I guess! This was also my first time trying out gouache paint and colored pencils.

@Kristin-Dudish It’s from an app called Discord For The Arts. A little while ago @Braden-Hallett organized a thread on this forum for SVS members who wanted to work through the Creative Environment course together, and he suggested the app as a way to share work and communicate. The class is done, but SVS members still use the app to share work. You have to be sent an invite to join, but I have tagged @Braden-Hallett, he may be able to help.

@jakecrowe Thanks 😃 super easy to make a runny animal when it's got so many leggy bits.

@Braden-Hallett This look like bugs that I would occasionally see in my dorm room at grad school. Uggh! (Ughh to the bug, not your drawing!)

Finally finished the watercolor version of this. I used the paints that Vesper Stamper recommends in the SVS class on watercolor palettes and really like the way it turned out.
