Hi, Chip! Iโ€™m from the Philippines and Iโ€™ve never heard that superstition. Lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ must be a niche thing

A seems like a cool idea, but might also present a complicated drawing challenge...depending on how deep into the reflections you go. Of course, just having the devil pooping out and limiting the scene to that interaction would be fun. Unless youโ€™re that kid...

I am going with the lighting that strikes someone in red, and the person is red is little red riding hood. Here are a few roughs I did. I like the first one but since she is facing the camera does it make sense that the cabin is behind her? Wouldn't see be going toward it? I could flip her around and not show the face but the skeleton structure like in old time cartoons when they get electrocuted. I also like the simplicity of second one and then third one would be the moment before she gets it. So she would look happy not knowing what is about to happen. Thoughts?

I am going with a combo of all three. I like the layout of the third one, like she is on her way to grandmas, I like the wolf hiding in the first one and I like the idea of no cabin in view. I think I might add a sign that points to grandmas house somewhere.

Last rough before I start to clean it up.

@Chip-Valecek Seems like a solid concept. Should be fun to work in the "old time cartoon" style on her too! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Last rough before I clean up the lines. Anything popping out that needs fixing?

                              rough3.jpg

I also slapped some color options together. I am leaning more towards the blue tint with only red riding hood in color. But I also sorta like the full color version. Not sold on the green tint. Thoughts?

I personally like the blue tint best but the full color is good, too. Maybe full color but kind of tinted towards blue? Not sure how or if that would work.

I like the blue one and the middle one myself. They could work really well.

As for other things... I hope this isn't stepping on your toes, but you could push those poses a little more perhaps? Maybe have the lightning just offset from Red, because it could be considered a follow-on from actual moment of strike. I love the electricity around her, just pull that lightning strike up a bit.

Also, you can really try and push her pose and facial expression... lightning strikes are part of nature, nature is powerful, so you could try and show that as much as you can in the subject that's being hit. I don't think there's such a thing as just a "little zap" when it comes from the sky!

You can make things more interesting by offsetting limbs so that they're not all going in similar directions. In animation this is called "twinning" and can make the pose feel flat.

How long has it been since Mr. Wolf ate? Is he ravenous? Is he just peckish? Honestly if my dinner was served to me in this fashion, my attitude would be something a bit stronger than what looks like victorious success. I would say it's closer to "utter delight" at the gift from the gods personally ๐Ÿ˜‰

Again push his pose too, even my example can be pushed further. Perhaps he's leaning towards Red for even more emphasis.

Here is my attempt to illustrate what I mean.
