Thank you. I am allowing myself to feel the feels today. Thankfully, wanting to kick butt from this seems to be taking over for most of the day.

Being laid off was the first step to starting my company nearly 9 years ago. I don't for a second wish I was still working for my old company or that I didn't start the business because of it.

The motivation to make it work went a long way to ensuring it was a success.

I love your "freelance by force" phrase. The universe is pushing you to higher and better things. Look at this as an opportunity, and go forward with gusto!! šŸ™‚

Hey, yeah it is an unfortunate situation. Had the same thing happen to me a few years ago.

Two and a half years into a job I really enjoyed (paid to make art, and paid well) plus finding an almost harmonious work/life/health balance, I was told I had to go because of budget cuts and they could no longer afford an extra artist.

I've been on a rollercoaster ever since. But nothing lasts forever, it's part of life and sometimes a blessing in disguise. It all comes down to how you see it.

Feelings come and go. You got this šŸ™‚

Thank you everyone for your kind words and support. Right now I am praying that there is not a repeat of yesterday today. My husband works for the same company different departments.

Thank you, everyone. I have decided the pity party has ended. I did my hair and makeup today. I have on real clothes. There are bigger and better things for me on the horizon. Thankfully we have a small savings account and HOPEFULLY, we will not have to dip into it. As a Christ-follower, I know that my needs and the needs of my kids will be provided for. Thank you for all the words of encouragement. They really do mean a lot to me.
