      So while I have been working on the Posing Characters class I thought it be cool to know who else might be taking it right now. Then I thought about what other people might be taking right now? So what class are you taking from SVS besides those who are in the Inking 02 @Braden-Hallett led class to prep for #inktober. If you are taking this class you can participate too.

      Now if you have taken a class and like to share the #1 thing you learned that would be cool too.

      For this thread to be organised well, if your taking Posing Characters reply directly to this post (right below this post -not the blue button one) and/or if you have taken it and have some tip or share the #1 thing you learned =).

      For other classes you might be taking reply with the larger button (I think it's blue haha) and ideally we repeat the above template. If it doesn't work so organised that's okay. And keep updating it.

      If you like this idea, like it.
      I know we have our monthly Gallery tour and we have threads celebrating people's jobs in the industry and I think that's great!
      Think of it as a little motivation if nothing else.

      Now let's get back to some seriously fun work,

        I'm close to brand spankin new SVS member and I'm halfway through the Illustrating Children's Books 1. So good!! The amount of insider knowledge that Sheila Keenan drops is a goldmine. And watching Jake lay out drawing after drawing in book format is incredible. It's all just so good and why I decided to become a member in the first place!

            @Heather-Boyd Awesome idea!

            I'd have to say that the number one thing I'm learning from doing these classes week by week (and having 'done' a BUNCH by just watching the videos) it is really important that you take some time to practice, and to let the info kinda 'soak in' if you get what I mean.

            When you're learning something you're literally building new brain circuits, and that takes time 🙂

            I may have some ink specific '#1' things once I'm done the inkin' course.

              @SFischer I'm working on that course too. Sheila Keenan video is my next video to watch so this is great to hear! I am practicing poses and gestures a bit first for a few days then on to that video 🙂

                Totally agree!! I started by just watching vids, then realized I was treating it like netflix or something. Not a helpful way to do it.

                One thing I learned by watching the How To Draw Everything (and other beginner drawing classes) is that you CAN draw everything if you remember to work from large (shapes) to small (details). I always have to start over when I forget to work that way.

                Right now I'm going through the drawing folds and wrinkles class. Not finished yet, so about the biggest thing I've learned so far is that I'm too impatient haha!

                    @Coley Gestures are always a great idea. Good to know I'm not the only one who hasn't seen this vid 👍
