My computer just loaded the windows 10 update and I upgraded photoshop to the newest version. Having some major problems. While I'm painting my pen is losing PSI sensitivity at random and then just stamping the brush shape down. Also when I use the lasso tool the program freezes. Anyone else having problems or know a solution. Thanks.

When I had this issue I had to reset preferences. You'll loose brush presets and such, and have to redo anything you've customized.

"Unexpected behavior may indicate damaged preferences. If you suspect damage to preferences, restore preferences to their default settings."

        How to reset: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

@evilrobot Did You tried to allow or disable Windows Ink in wacom setup and all treiber installed? I hate it to say, everytime Windows updates comes, I am really afraid, I lose sensitivity and have problems, seeing no cursor in photoshop and illustrator...what helped me is to disable/enable the "Windows Freehand (Ink)" in the setup of wacom, but on my cintiq I have to enable it and on my intuos I have to disable it, ask me not why, I tried so many different ways..now it is working again and under "windows inK" setup was "show cursor" deaktivated (why????) so had to enable it.

@MichaelaH said in Wacom and Windows problems:

            This fixes so many problems.

@evilrobot My fix would be ti try @MichaelaH 's fix. Good luck!

Yeah, I can't seem to find a way to turn off windows ink except in the wacom preferences there use to be a work around in the Photoshop 2018 where you make the program ignore the windows ink by putting a text file in the settings folder. Work around doesn't work with the new version. In fact the folder is not even in the same place anymore and I can't even seem to find the settings folder for windows 2019 the old path no longer has Adobe Photoshop options in it just Microsoft crap. So annoying every time there's an update it's a disaster.

Maybe you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the wacom drivers

Rollin' back the drivers to the previous version would probably work too (for a few weeks while they figure their business out and such)

Yeah for now I just went back to Photoshop 2018 because that still seems to work. I'll wait for the next update and see if it gets fixed.
