Quick question for you: I did a spread for the contest and the slideshow isn't happy with it (slightly cropped). Is the slideshow used for judging, or does whoever's judging have the uncropped file?

@Braden-Hallett Yeah, I have run into this with some past contests as well. Really wide images tend to get trimmed off but should look fine in full view. If you click on the image it should open up in full view. The judges don't vote off the slide show, sometimes I send them all the images other times they just pull right from the thread. I will try to tweak the image and see if I can get it to fit.

How do they pick winners for these? They only pick one or two, right? Because there's always more than that that deserves to win. Do they ever have to take it outside?

Wow nice job everyone. I didn’t participate and so I lost track but I looked through the slideshow and it was pleasant to see and enjoy everyone’s work.

I didn’t take note of the one with the girl bringing the squirrel to obedience school, but I LOVE it! It’s perfect for the “moment before” concept. I love the texture and simplification of the figures as well. Well done. Totally made an impression. So so so good. Just love it.

I was pleased with how it came out. I am never 100% sure until the last plate is printed.

There were so many good ones this month. It is great fun to see them all!

@TwiggyT Usually their is one winner and one runner up and then they crit a few honorable mentions. I believe the teacher who supplies the prompt picks the winner. But that may not be true LOL. It just seems like whoever supplies the prompt is usually the one who picks.

Hi guys! Just want to let you guys know that the next Critique Arena is scheduled for this Wednesday, Oct 9 at 2 pm MDT:smiling_face_with_open_mouth_smiling_eyes:

We had some scheduling issues so that's why it's on the second Wednesday:smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat: Sorry if that messes up any of your schedules!

But, if you can make it, it should be a fun one to sit in on. Jake and Lee are gonna try out a new format, where the viewers get to take part in the judging! So be sure to check out @Chip-Valecek 's slideshow before hand and pick your favorites

If you can't make it, we'll record it and put it in the subscription. Watch your email for the live event link, they should be going out by this Monday at the latest. And as always, if you run into any issues, shoot me an email (I'll see it quicker that way).
