      Hi everyone,

I am coming back to illustration after a long break of barely doing any creative work (about 5 years) and I was hoping for some feedback on this work in progress image before I finish it off. I'm struggling to find a way to combine the two parts, and want some general feedback before I go any further and am unable to make changes as easily. The fire section will have more contrast on the final image. I also think I am working in a really old-fashioned way now - vectors in illustrator then texture in photoshop, if anyone can suggest the best way to move to a less time consuming process? If anyone has time, I'd really appreciate it! Fire&Ice.jpg

@Carrie-Anne-Brown I work in a similar way than you, textures and shading over vector, and what works for me is doing my vectors in Photoshop with the pen tool. It works similar to illustrator and this way I don't have to switch between the 2 programs and it greatly streamlines my process.
For the merging of the 2 parts, I'd suggest adding detail in the rock facade, with rocks going over to the opposite section. So cloud coverage at the merge point would also help 🙂

@NessIllustration thanks a lot, I think you're right, Photoshop is probably the way forward. Also practising drawing digitally will probably cut down my time I think.
