I've been exploring two related options for the January contest, I'm curious of people have a preference for one over the other? I'd also appreciate any other feedback! I'm going for something minimalist but maybe they need to be pushed farther?

@Braxton I much prefer the simplicity of the first one, but would would simplify it further and take away the second paw print. I do think it needs some kind of added tension, though. The only example I can give is something like making the track really deep, and the person needs to dig a tunnel to get to the bottom. Just some sort of added dimension to the concept.

@carolinedrawing Thanks! I might try your suggestion with the deeper print. I was alternatively thinking of adding another element to suggest more of a story, or adding additional lighting, up I don’t want to ruin the minimalist quiet feel I’m going for.

I like 1 as well. And agree about the deeper print. What if the Giants shadow was shown coming from behind him or something? I like the simplicity of it so you wouldn't want to add too much more.

Loving the minimalism! I definitely prefer #1 & excited to see what extra bit you choose to add. I can see some sort of shadow of the huge thing working well.

@KaraDaniel thanks I think that’s definitely a good possibility, it could add an extra element without over complicating things. Another thought, if the print was deeper maybe the character could have crashed their sled going into it, and now is looking around to see what caused the crash

I vote for two. It makes you think that there is a whole other world out there where giants are out walking their dogs.

I just love the story in 2. 1 is... okay but 2 has more depth. Definitely go for 2
