JULY CONTEST: Design a book cover for the Wizard of Oz
-
@Eric-Droke I love this so much. The style is gorgeous and the storytelling here is so compelling. You've really captured something substantive. The graphic design is lovely too.
-
@amiklo Thanks a ton! I really appreciate the encouragement.
-
@mag Great job! I just love the characters and their expressions. Great textures, too.
-
@Ryan-Ehr These characters are adorable. I wish the road was a little yellower, but otherwise love it.
-
@Megan-van-der-Berg This is brilliant! Great first read, just looks cool. Second read i saw the details, tornado, flying monkeys, then third read i saw the shapes of the lion, tin man etc. Inspired work, really good!
-
@deboraht not sure why this hasnt got more votes, the renderings top notch, love the composition, i can only assume a lot of people submitted already and havent been back. This is quality.

Heyo! This is my first contest and I'm really happy to be participating. There are so many good covers in here! It's awesome and inspiring to see. I think I gotta step up my game next month... But I showed up and had fun (and finished!) so I'll take that for now Thanks for looking!
-
@Coley Thank you! I couldn't help myself, haha!
-
@Graham-Williams Thank you I almost went with a lighter color scheme, but there was something so fun about working with the green rim light.
-
@LauraLane I like the way you've designed the poppies and leaves to fit aroundeach other, you should do some textile designs for spoonflower (if you don't already).
-
@LauraLane Beautiful style!
-
@carrieannebrown Thanks, I've not spent much time on spoonflower! But I do love using patterns in illustrations
-
@miranda-hoover Thank you! I love your cover, it looks like it would make such a fun comic!
