Getting this one in just in time. I kicked around a few ideas for this, and had two of them pretty far along. But, in my infinite wisdom, and with a bunch of other projects happening, I decided THIS PAST WEEKEND that I just had to do this other idea I had. It's actually kind of a "sequel" to my April 2020 entry with the prompt "Lisa's robot invention worked great, until it did this ...". (So, maybe the robot wasn't such a good idea, so she moved on to a mechanical dragonfly suit instead. What could possibly go wrong?)
Just in time! I had 'bout 4.5 hours time to work today and I managed to hammer this out! Thanks to everyone on the forum for the quick feedback

Hey Gang! Here is my submission for this months contest.
Life has been crazy these past few weeks. I moved at the first of the month and then two weeks later I was off getting married! Now, dragonflys can symbolize change and a deeper understanding of life. With these new changes in my own life, I wanted to express that in illustration by seeing off a little dragonfly in the first light of morning.
Here's my entry for this month! Kept it really simple and sweet. I give you the Queen of the Dragonflies! Great entries this time! Brilliant work everyone!
Phew! This one was a lesson in time management! When you're weak with colors, don't save it for the last day

I struggled all month trying to think of something that felt like me and then gave up. Inspiration struck yesterday. It’s based on my own experiences as a teacher. This stuff always happens to teachers ... “well, technically, she’s not wrong...”
Little Miss “dragon fly” is based on my daughter and the dragon had me singing “Trogdor!”for those who are Strongbad fans.
Sometimes you need a shoulder to cry on but other times it is time for a distraction.
