Hi there,
I joined SVS just a little over a year ago when I came across Will's youtube videos, then Jake's and that in turn lead me to 3 point perspective where I was so thrilled to see three working, successful illustrators openly speaking about the hardships and successes, good habits and lessons learned along their career path. I have been in the graphic design field for over 15 years and freelance for over 10 but still find I do not feel confident in my work and couldn't quite figure out why. SVS classes have helped fill in the many things my college education left out, mainly good "story telling" not just how to create a pretty picture of a moment captured. I still have a ways to go but with Lee, Will and Jake's help I feel I have a good team to guide me. Each of their styles is so different yet all so good and it's so refreshing that they are open to answering questions and sharing techniques.(and funny stories) Makes me wish I was younger and starting out my career today but am pleased to find SVS even if I am a bit late to the game.
